Guidance and tool for autistic people
We co-created guidance and a tool for preparing for Care Act assessments for autistic people by holding creative workshops with autistic people.

Care Act assessment guidance
Our guidance explains what a Care Act assessment involves, including what you can expect, what you will talk about, accommodations you can ask for, and how to talk about sex and relationships support needs.

Menu for Support Tool
The Care Act (2014) includes ten eligibility criteria, including nutrition, looking after your home, and developing and maintaining relationships. Our Menu for Support tool presents these 10 criteria in a table to help you think about what you need support with. You could take this into your assessment too.
